Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 9, 2026

Handle is a place for hoopers to get feedback, connect, and level up. These Community Guidelines are here to keep things competitive but respectful. By using Handle, you agree to follow these rules.

We may update these Guidelines from time to time. If you continue using Handle after changes are posted, you are agreeing to the updated version.

1. Play the right way

Handle is built for honest basketball-focused feedback, not harassment or drama. When you rate or interact with others:

  • Keep ratings about basketball skills and on-court performance.
  • Be fair and honest, not petty or personal.
  • Remember there’s a real person on the other side of the screen.

2. Respect others — no harassment or hate

The following behavior is not allowed on Handle:

  • Harassment, bullying, or targeted insults toward any individual or group.
  • Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Threats of violence, intimidation, or encouraging others to attack someone.
  • Sexual comments or content directed at other users.

3. Keep it clean and safe

You may not use Handle to post or share:

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content.
  • Content involving minors in a sexual or inappropriate context. This will result in immediate removal and may be reported to authorities.
  • Extremely graphic or violent content, or content that glorifies self-harm or suicide.
  • Promotion of illegal activity, including drugs, weapons, or criminal behavior.

4. No spam, scams, or cheating

To keep Handle useful and trustworthy:

  • No spam, mass messaging, or irrelevant promotional content.
  • No fake accounts, impersonation, or pretending to be someone else.
  • Do not try to artificially manipulate ratings, for example by creating multiple accounts or coordinating rating raids.
  • No phishing, scams, or attempts to steal personal information.

5. Respect privacy

Do not use Handle to expose private information about others, also known as doxxing, including:

  • Real home addresses or private contact info.
  • Personal email addresses or phone numbers without consent.
  • Private conversations or screenshots shared without permission.

You are responsible for what you share about yourself. Avoid posting sensitive personal details you would not want others to have.

6. Profiles, avatars, and names

Your username, bio, and avatar should follow these Guidelines as well.

  • No hateful, harassing, or explicit usernames or bios.
  • No copyrighted logos or images you do not have the right to use.
  • No graphic, violent, or sexual profile pictures.
  • No impersonating other players, trainers, or public figures.

7. Reporting and moderation

We may introduce in-app tools to report content or users. Until then, you can reach us directly at support@joinhandle.app if you believe someone is violating these Guidelines.

We reserve the right to review content and accounts, and to take action at our discretion to keep the community safe and constructive.

8. Enforcement

If you violate these Guidelines, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on severity and history:

  • Remove or edit specific content, for example a rating or bio.
  • Issue a warning.
  • Temporarily suspend your account or access to certain features.
  • Permanently ban your account.

Severe violations, especially involving threats, exploitation, or minors, may result in an immediate ban and may be reported to appropriate authorities or platforms.

These Guidelines are meant to describe how we expect people to use Handle. They are not legal advice, and they do not limit any rights we have under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
